Directors

21ten is always accepting director submissions. We are currently looking to hire a director for our upcoming BareBones production of Dorothy’s Dictionary by E.M. Lewis.

 

About the play:

Sparks fly when Zan, an angry high school student, is forced to work off his community service assignment helping Dorothy, an ailing librarian. But each of them might just have what the other needs... if they can only find the words.

 

Compensation: $1,500 minimum stipend, based on experience.

BareBones Theatre Manager 

Part-time, $20/hr

Hybrid of in person & work from home hours​​

Job Duties:

  • Attend weekly meetings with BareBones volunteer team and 21ten Operations team

  • Outreach to the Portland community to bring our BareBones shows to new and unconventional venues

  • Booking venues & communicating directly with venues

  • Relationship development with partner venues

  • Creating travel itineraries

  • Communication with production teams

  • Marketing & publicity of the BareBones mission

  • Creation of publicity materials & press releases

  • Budget planning​

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

  • Interest in theatre & the 21ten BareBones Theatre Mission

  • Knowledge of theatre management

  • Experience booking performances at various venues

  • Ability to take initiative

  • Ability to manage your own time

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities

  • Ability to communicate with clarity and kindness with people of all walks of life

  • Experience working or volunteering for a non-profit organization

  • Creativity and ability to work collaboratively

  • Creating and meeting deadlines

  • A community-mindset and the ability and desire to lead a team​

Volunteer for Front of House!

We love to involve our community in volunteering for Front of House for our productions. There are two positions we need filled for every show: Box Office and Concessions.

 

BOX OFFICE: The box office volunteer will welcome guests to the theatre and sell tickets at the door.

 

CONCESSIONS: The concessions volunteer will sell food and drinks at the concessions station.
